北京时间4月30日，知名美媒HoopsHype公布了他们的一项球员调查，总计100名球员回答了谁是GOAT的话题，其中85人直接接受了HoopsHype采访，有15人透过社媒或公开采访谈到了他们的选择。最终投票结果为乔丹49票，詹姆斯37票。
其中，湖人球员斯宾塞-丁维迪在接受采访表示，勒布朗-詹姆斯比迈克尔-乔丹更具全球影响力。
